Job description for Banquet Manager at PT. Mutia Culinary Concepts


Job Description :

  • Manage overall banquet operations for large-scale events and functions.
  • Handle various events including corporate events, weddings, conferences, gala dinners, exhibitions, VIP events, and international events.
  • Ensure smooth event execution and high service standards throughout all banquet operations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments including kitchen, service, housekeeping, engineering, security, and event organizers.
  • Act as the main PIC during event operations and ensure all client requirements are fulfilled.
  • Supervise banquet staff, scheduling, briefing, and operational performance.
  • Monitor event setup, rundown, manpower allocation, and operational readiness.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients regarding event requirements and last-minute changes.
  • Resolve operational issues and guest complaints efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and service quality standards are consistently maintained.
  • Prepare operational reports and post-event evaluations.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Banquet Operations or Event Management, preferably in large scale events.
  • Proven experience handling high-capacity banquet events and VIP functions.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays based on event requirements.
  • Professional appearance and positive working attitude.
