Job description for Automation QA Engineer at Abacus Strategic Advisory Sdn Bhd
•Design and execute test cases for core transaction, balance, and account features
•Build and maintain automated test suites, integrated into the CI pipeline
•Perform API, integration, regression, and load testing
•Validate data correctness using SQL, and own verification and sign-off for data migration
•Report defects and support release verification
Requirements
•Minimum 3 years of QA experience
•Able to independently develop automated tests in Go or Python
•Proficient in SQL for independent data verification
•Working knowledge of test design techniques: boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, state transition testing
•Experience with API testing tools (Postman or equivalent) and defect tracking workflows
•Strong attention to numerical accuracy and boundary conditions
Preferred qualifications
•Experience testing payment or financial systems
•Experience designing and running concurrency tests
•Experience with data migration verification
•Load testing tools such as k6, Locust, or JMeter
•Familiarity with Testcontainers and Docker, or experience mocking third-party services in a test environment
