JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ACCOUNT MANAGER (BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT)
Overview
Reporting to the Director (Business Strategy), you are expected to be able to effectively manage dedicated accounts and drive the sales of Audeo's solution to the Industrial, Marine and Oil & Gas sectors in the appointed region.
Responsibilities
Primary Scope
- Generate and pursue leads through cold calls using various mediums of communication, networking sites and social media thus developing opportunities with prospective clients while working towards building the sales pipeline.
- Research organizations and identify new and potential markets/clients/projects while keeping the sales pipeline updated.
- Adhere closely to the business plans and the sales forecast for the year thus meeting or exceeding individual and the sales team’s OKRs.
- Organize and plan client visits to identify decision makers, requirements and build rapport. Client visits also includes visits to Shipyards, going onboard vessels on shore and offshore, fabrication yards, process plants etc.
- Nurture and develop relationships with current clients thus increasing their wallet spend with Audeo.
- Contribute to the development and distribution of marketing materials.
- Identify and develop distributors for the products specified in the business plans.
- Prepare and present weekly distribution and sales reports.
- Prepare quotations and proposals to clients while maintaining submission timelines, profit margins and constantly following up on all open quotations.
- Maintain and update client database.
- Ensure proper follow up on the individual order ensuring timely delivery.
Secondary Scope
- Plan, oversee and attend marketing initiatives or/and events in the said territory or as assigned.
- Organize and take part in trade fairs or exhibitions.
- Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding customers and industries requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Technical Sales in the Energy or Marine industry preferable
- Minimum technical diploma or degree from recognized institute
- Excellent Interpersonal & communication skills
- Negotiation skills to support closure of sales
- Strong project management
- Able to work independently and resourceful
