Job description for project accountant at SAPO DEVELOPMENTS INDONESIA
The Project Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, payments and cost tracking, ensuring that all project costs are properly recorded and aligned with the project scope and budget. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who will take ownership of the financial control of specific construction / real estate development projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payment Management
• Process payments to contractors, suppliers and consultants. • Ensure payments align with approved work and contracts.
2. Purchase Orders • Prepare and manage purchase orders. • Coordinate with logistics and technical teams.
3. Cost Tracking • Record all project-related expenses. • Ensure all costs are properly allocated to the project scope.
4. Financial Control • Maintain accurate financial records. • Support cost monitoring with the Project Manager. • Ensure all documentation, certifications and approvals are completed.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project accounting, cost control, or financial administration, ideally within construction or real estate development projects.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, purchase orders, and project cost tracking.
• Experience working with budgets and aligning costs against project scope and contracts.
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting software; experience with project-based financial systems is a plus.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, suppliers, technical/logistics teams and the Project Manager.
• Strong sense of responsibility, discretion and autonomy in handling financial documentation.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Currently based in Lombok or willing to relocate to Lombok.
