About the Role
A leading hospitality and F&B group is seeking a dynamic Events Sales professional to represent its portfolio of wedding and corporate experiences.
In this role, you will go beyond sales — partnering with clients to shape memorable celebrations, from weddings and solemnizations to corporate and private events.
You will manage event opportunities end-to-end, from initial enquiry and proposal development to confirmation, working closely with internal teams to ensure each event is executed seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Handle and respond to enquiries for weddings, solemnizations, corporate events, private celebrations, and social functions with speed, confidence, and professionalism.
Qualify leads effectively and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative selling and strong follow-up discipline.
Present venues, event concepts, menus, and service experiences in a persuasive and brand-aligned manner.
Conduct site inspections, client meetings, sales presentations, and negotiations with prospective clients and corporate stakeholders.
Prepare tailored proposals, quotations, and event packages according to client objectives, budget, and event brief.
Recommend suitable venue setups, dining concepts, and experiential enhancements that strengthen the overall event value proposition.
Build and maintain strong relationships with wedding couples, corporate clients, intermediaries, planners, and key referral partners.
Partner closely with operations, culinary, and marketing teams to ensure a seamless handover from sales confirmation to event execution.
Track enquiries, sales activities, conversion ratios, and booking pipelines accurately in relevant systems and reports.
Achieve individual and team revenue goals while maintaining premium service standards throughout the sales journey.
Proactively identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market segments to grow event revenue
Conceptualise and co-develop event themes, styling, and guest experiences aligned with client vision
Requirements
Candidate Profile
Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in hotel event sales, banquet sales, wedding sales, restaurant event sales, or hospitality business development.
Proven ability to manage client enquiries and close sales in a fast-paced, target-driven environment .
Strong understanding of weddings, banquet operations, corporate functions, and food-and-beverage-led event experiences.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to sell ambience, culinary experiences, service quality, and event storytelling — not just venue space or pricing.
Strong commercial instinct with an eye for detail, styling, and premium guest experience.
Highly organised, responsive, and capable of managing multiple leads and timelines simultaneously.
Comfortable working on weekends, public holidays, or flexible schedules when required by client appointments or event showcases.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or enquiry management systems
