This role is involved in the expansion, renewal and operations of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Radio-Communications network as a junior officer. He/She shall perform technical support in field deployment, network maintenance, Network Management System (NMS) operations at sites, tunnels and data centre, to ensure system reliability, SLA compliance and sustained meter read performance.

What You'll Do:

Conduct tool-box meeting with contractors and supervise contractors on site for project works.

Carry out deployment, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of AMI Access Points and associated network equipment in substations.

Conduct Laboratory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing for new AMI Access Point and Radio-Communications Equipment deployments.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including Radio Frequency (RF) diagnostics to optimize network coverage and capacity.

Perform troubleshooting and replacement of faulty or non-communicating AMI meters.

Operate the Network Management System (NMS), including monitoring of alarms, events and network performance.

Perform system maintenance activities such as cybersecurity patching, version/firmware upgrades and performance optimization.

Assist in incident response, root cause analysis, and Service Level reporting.

Maintain clear documentation for work records, system configurations, workflows, policies, and processes.

Evaluate and test any new wireless RF mesh networks, M2M and Radio-communication solutions.

What You’ll need:

Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, ICT, or related engineering disciplines

Minimum 2 years of working experience in utility or telecommunications industry.

Experience in operation and maintenance of Operation Technology / InfoComm Technology systems and equipment.

Working knowhows in smart metering systems and Radio Frequency (RF) wireless network communications is an advantage.

Hand-on troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Strong contractor management and coordination skills.

Willingness to travel to sites, and standby after office-hours on rotational basis.

Possess own transport vehicle.
