We are seeking a commercially savvy Senior Treasury Analyst to support treasury operations, financial reporting, and business finance activities within a fast-paced trading environment. This role combines strategic treasury management with hands-on accounting experience, supporting both operational excellence and business growth.
The ideal candidate will possess strong exposure to cash and liquidity management, FX risk management, financial reporting, and business partnering experience within oil & gas, commodity trading, or MNCs.
Responsibilities:
Treasury & Financial Risk Management
- Responsible for treasury operations, including liquidity planning, working capital management, loan administration, and banking activities.
- Manage foreign exchange exposures and execute hedging strategies to mitigate market and currency risks.
- Monitor financial markets, interest rate movements, and macro economic developments to support funding and treasury decisions.
- Drive cash flow forecasting and optimize capital utilization across business units.
- Maintain relationships with banking partners and oversee financing arrangements and treasury compliance.
Financial Reporting & Governance
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control frameworks.
- Partner with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders on statutory reporting and regulatory matters.
- Strengthen financial governance and continuously improve finance processes and reporting efficiency.
Commercial Finance & Business Support
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis for trading and business activities.
- Evaluate business performance, cost structures, and investment opportunities through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Support credit risk monitoring and customer exposure management to safeguard business interests.
Process Improvement
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, process automation, and reporting enhancements.
- Establish efficient workflows and strengthen operational controls within AR/AP and treasury processes.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in finance, treasury, or accounting functions, within oil & gas, commodity trading, or multinational environments.
- Solid and in-depth understanding of treasury operations, FX risk management, financial reporting, and corporate finance principles.
- Demonstrated track record in managing cash flow forecasting, hedging activities, and banking facilities.
- Strong practical experience in financial consolidation, budgeting, and management reporting.
- Highly analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate into business insights.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across regional teams and external business partners.
- Ability to read and prepare business and financial reports in Chinese to support communications with Chinese-speaking stakeholders, counterparties, and business documentation across regional operations.
