Key Responsibilities:
Monthly
Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with SFRS, IFRS, and Group Accounting Policies.
Manage month-end closing activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Perform and monitor variance analysis.
Review work performed by outsourced vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Ensure accounts receivable and payments are properly supported with adequate documentation and comply with SOPs and Financial Authority Limits.
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and ensure sufficient liquidity is maintained.
Quarterly/Biannually/Annually
Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns.
Support biannual forecasting and budgeting exercises, including preparation of templates.
Prepare tax computations and filings, including ECI and annual corporate income tax returns.
Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements.
Others
Liaise with external auditors.
Partner with business units on operational and finance-related matters.
Success Factors
Ensure timely closing and submission of monthly accounts with management schedule.
Ensure accounts are prepared in accordance to SFRs, IFRs, Group Accounting policy, Company Tax Act, GST Act.
Maintain compliance with internal policies, SOPs, Financial Authority Limit
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the real estate or property industry.
Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Proficient in accounting and ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, IFCA) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across departments and present financial information clearly.
Able to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
