Job Scope
We are looking for a dynamic and technically inclined Marine Engine/Equipment Sales to drive sales of marine engines and related equipment. The role focuses on expanding market share by engaging shipowners, shipyards, marine service companies, and offshore operators, while delivering solutions that meet customer operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the marine and offshore industry
- Promote and sell marine engines and equipment and related solutions to clients (shipowners, shipyards, distributors)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers
- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable engine/equipment solutions and configurations
- Prepare quotations and proposals
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet or exceed targets
- Coordinate with technical and service teams to ensure smooth project delivery and after-sales support
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the marine sector
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking sessions to generate leads
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reporting
Requirements
- Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in marine equipment, engine sales, or technical sales (B2B preferred)
- Strong understanding of marine engines and vessel operations is an advantage
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-driven with strong sales and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to travel and meet clients (local and regional)
