1.  Summary of the role

• Reporting to the Quality Manager Aerospace – APAC, the primary functions of the Quality Engineer is do the below in addition to a Quality Engineer role. He/She shall have the appropriate quality and technical skills to support in doing problem solving / guiding / coaching and taking the appropriate action(s) to support the organization in resolving Quality related issues.
• In his/her role the Senior Quality Engineer is also supporting the continuous improvement activities of the Quality Management System and ensuring compliance to applicable policies / customer & regulatory requirements.
• Representing the Quality Manager on site during his/her absent.

2.  Tasks and Responsibilities
Ø  Lead and ensure compliance with AS9100 requirements, risk management processes, and workplace quality standards.

Ø  Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards.

Ø  Monitor, analyze, and report QMS performance metrics and improvement opportunities to senior management.

Ø  Promote awareness of customer, statutory, regulatory, and aerospace industry requirements across all functional teams.

Ø  Track, monitor, and drive improvements in key quality performance indicators, including customer complaints, customer satisfaction metrics, and PPM (Parts Per Million) performance.

Ø  Support and perform incoming inspection activities at the Singapore warehouse to ensure product conformity.

Ø  Establish, maintain, and ensure adherence to quality control procedures, inspection plans, and product specifications.

Ø  Manage calibration programs and coordinate internal, customer, and certification audit schedules to ensure ongoing compliance.

Ø  Lead the investigation, containment, root cause analysis, and resolution of customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.

Ø  Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) and cross-functional project teams to ensure successful product development and launch activities.

Ø  Conduct periodic reviews of quality procedures and documentation, recommending updates to enhance effectiveness and compliance.

Ø  Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and represent the Quality function throughout project execution.

Ø  Host and coordinate customer, internal, supplier, and certification audits, ensuring compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

Ø  Develop and deliver quality-related training programs to enhance employee competency and awareness within the Singapore operations team.

Ø  Perform and review First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements and customer specifications.

Ø  Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive quality improvements, reduce defects, and enhance overall operational performance.

3.  Education and Experience

Certified engineer in Aerospace / Degree in Mechanical or equivalent engineering is preferred

Or

Quality Management certification

Green or black belt certified is recommended

4 - 6 yrs of experience in Aerospace Industry Quality function

4.  Competencies

Ø  Strong background in Aerospace Parts and quality systems.

Ø  Hands-on experience with New Product Introduction (NPI), including application of APQP and PPAP methodologies.

Ø  Certified AS9100 Auditor & Solid understanding of AS9100 quality management requirements.

Ø  Familiar with key aerospace customer requirements, particularly Airbus and Boeing standards, will be added advantage.

Ø  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach.

Ø  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively across all business levels.

Ø  Knowledge of modern quality systems, tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Ø  Computer literate, with proficiency in quality-related software tools; familiarity with Net-inspect, DISCUS and ERP system.

Travelling is in link with scope of work within the Aerospace customer solution centres, manufacturing sites and logistics centres.
