Our client is seeking a Project Manager (Special Projects/ Exhumation & Reinterment Works) to join their team!

What you'll be doing?

End-to-end project leadership — Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from initial planning through to successful completion, ensuring all milestones are met with precision and accountability.

Work planning and implementation — Develop and execute comprehensive work plans that cover tree clearing, structural demolition, exhumation, shrouding, and reinterment processes in a structured and methodical manner.

Resource coordination — Strategically deploy manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure project timelines are met efficiently and effectively.

On-site presence and supervision — Be the driving force on the ground by overseeing daily site operations, proactively resolving challenges, and keeping works on track and on schedule.

Safety and regulatory compliance — Safe working environment by ensuring full adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and all relevant authority requirements.

Stakeholder and authority liaison — Build and maintain productive relationships with authorities, stakeholders, and community members to facilitate smooth project execution.

Document control and reporting — Maintain rigorous documentation systems including work records, progress reports, and photographic evidence to uphold transparency and accountability.

Remains identification and tracking — Implement and monitor systems that ensure the accurate identification, tracking, and verification of exhumed remains with the highest standards of care and integrity.

Cultural and religious sensitivity — Lead all operations with deep respect and consideration for the cultural and religious practices of those affected by the works.

Team supervision and quality assurance — Guide and support site teams to ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and quality benchmarks.

Who are they looking for?

Relevant educational background — A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline provides the foundation for success in this role.

Substantial project experience — A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in construction or civil engineering, with a background in site management highly regarded.

WSH certification — A valid Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) certification is required to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Project management proficiency — Strong skills in project coordination, planning, and administration are essential for managing the complexity of these works.

Document and lifecycle management — Demonstrated experience in document control, reporting, and managing projects through their full lifecycle is important for this role.

Stakeholder management ability — Comfort with managing multiple stakeholders across diverse groups in a fast-paced, dynamic site environment is highly valued.

Cultural awareness — Familiarity with cultural or religious practices relevant to this type of project will be considered a distinct advantage.

On-site commitment — A willingness to be based on-site for extended periods to lead operations, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure the smooth running of all activities is essential for this role.
