Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our new team at Bangdja Group (PT. Bangja Chemnovatic Indonesia), a company specializing in tobacco processing and the chemical and chemical-based products industry. As Plant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and smooth plant operations, aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. This position requires a dedicated, results-oriented leader who is skilled in managing manufacturing complexities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all plant operational activities, including production, maintenance, and quality control.
Strive to achieve production targets set by management while prioritizing both quality and quantity and minimizing losses.
Manage the factory’s operational team, including resource planning, scheduling, and employee development.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Monitor and control the factory’s operational budget, and optimize resource utilization.
Coordinate with other functional teams, such as supply chain, finance, and security, to ensure seamless process integration.
Ensure compliance with all regulations, standards, and procedures related to safety, quality, and the environment
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
Minimum 5–7 years of work experience as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, or in a similar senior position in the manufacturing industry
Good English language skills (often sought after by multinational companies)
Understanding of operational management, supply chain, warehouse operations, and maintenance
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards, OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) systems, and environmental regulations
Ability to develop and manage operational budgets (Budgeting & Cost Control)
Strong leadership skills to manage large teams
Ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure
Focus on production targets (target-oriented) and continuous improvement (continuous improvement/Lean Manufacturing)
