1. Position Summary
The Cashier is responsible for handling guest payment transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a friendly and professional customer experience, and maintaining the integrity of daily financial records in accordance with Milk & Madu Restaurant standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Cashier Operations
Process all payment transactions (cash, card, QRIS, and other digital methods) accurately and efficiently.
Operate the POS system according to established SOPs.
Ensure all issued bills are correct and match the guest’s order.
Perform daily cash closing, including cash count and end-of-day reporting.
B. Customer Service
Greet guests warmly at the cashier area.
Provide information related to menu items, promotions, and payment methods.
Handle minor billing issues or complaints in a polite and solution-oriented manner.
C. Administration & SOP Compliance
Prepare and submit daily cashier reports to the Supervisor/Manager.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all transaction data.
Ensure the assigned cash float is accurate at all times.
Follow SOPs for refunds, voids, complimentary items, and small inventory usage.
D. Cleanliness & Equipment Care
Keep the cashier area clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
Ensure POS machines, EDC terminals, and supporting devices are functioning properly.
3. Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cashier in restaurants/cafés/hospitality (preferred).
Familiar with POS & EDC operations.
Strong attention to detail, honest, and responsible.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

High integrity in handling cash and financial data.
5. Reporting Line
Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / Restaurant Manager
Works With: Barista Team, Service Team, Kitchen Team, Admin/Finance
