Deskripsi pekerjaan Fullerton Shop Manager The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts

·       Together with the Front Office Manager agree on a pragmatic vision for the setting up and the investment of The Gift Shop to enhance the revenue of the hotel and to meet the ultimate gift hunting needs of Hotel Guests and Visitors.

·        To determine the overall strategy on the total requirement of a first class giftshop in a premier hotel with respect to types and quality of merchandize and the services that go along with them when Hotel Guests and Visitors need these items and services.

·        To supervise the merchandize turnover so that there is a good balance of quality where the varieties and selection can suit the taste of the common nationalities of the Hotel Guests and Visitors.

·        To prepare the annual budget and be accountable for the profitability and security of all the merchandize in stock within The Gift Shop.

·        To ensure a smooth running and control of the routine operation in The Gift Shop.

·        To train and supervise the Retail Assistants to perform their role in order to meet customers’ needs.

·        To help resolve customers’ enquiries at The Gift Shop whenever the Guest Service Assistants refer such enquiries that they cannot resolve.

·        To monitor the cash float of the cash register routinely so as to ensure the revenue collected and sales figures match.  Discrepancies are always dealt with immediately and a report is to be submitted to the General Manager and copied to Finance.

·        To keep up with any new items and trends in the gift industry; source and recommend merchandize that are suitable for the Hotel’s clientele, bearing in mind the balance between cost and quality.

·        To ensure cost effectiveness by negotiating with suppliers for the best possible cost and terms in the procurement process for the inventory items.

·        To establish good rapport with the key suppliers whom The Gift Shop has long term business so as to ensure continuity in commodities supply at the fairest commercial terms, preferably with long term strategic alliance agreements.

·        To enhance the image of The Gift Shop by dressing up the merchandize on display and sold to customers with the most appropriate packaging materials.

·        To interact with other services and operational departments in the Hotel where multi functional tasking are involved, so as to form a strong bond where collaborative efforts are required.

·        To help promote business in The Gift Shop by decorative displays changed on a regular basis, and for special events or festive occasions.

·        Be accountable for the monthly Consignment Sales Report on consigned sales for debiting purposes.

·        To improve operational efficiency by continuous improvements effort and on- the-job training/ coaching of service staff at the shop.
