Our temple is dedicated to supporting devotees through meaningful ceremonies, offerings, and community events. We are seeking a committed and service‑oriented individual to join our team and support our daily and festive operations in a respectful and harmonious environment.
Job Description
In this role, you will support ceremonial and event operations while ensuring warm and attentive service. Your responsibilities include managing floral arrangements, preparing hampers, supporting offering and retail counters, and assisting during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
Flower Ordering & Preparation
Plan, design, and prepare floral arrangements and offering hampers for ceremonies and major events.
Customized Event Support
Create special and customized floral designs and hampers for largescale or important temple events.
Customer & Devotee Service
Provide courteous and friendly support at the retail counters during major events.
Assist with retail counter operations during peak periods or when manpower support is required.
Ensure a smooth and memorable experience for devotees and visitors.
Workplace & Stock Management
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure sufficient supplies and proper presentation of items.
Working Hours & Benefits
Regular working hours: 7:45am to 5:25pm
Special arrangement: Staff are required to report at 6:45am on Chinese New Year and during special events.
Meal provided: One vegetarian lunch meal is provided daily
Requirements
Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese.
2 to 3 years of relevant working experience.
Ability to handle lifting, prolonged standing, and stair climbing.
Comfortable with a flexible work schedule (5‑day work week with 2 rotating rest days).
Willing to work overtime, on public holidays, and during important ceremonial periods.
Availability to work during key Chinese festive dates is essential, including:
Chinese New Year Eve
The 1st and 2nd Day of Chinese New Year
The 7th Day of the Lunar New Year (Ren Ri / Everyone’s Birthday)
Yuan Xiao Festival (15th Day of the Lunar New Year)
Mid‑Autumn Festival (15th Day of the 8th Lunar Month)
Training will be provided.
