Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to support our clinical team. This role is responsible for the cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of endoscopic equipment, as well as assisting in patient care and endoscopy procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key responsibilities

Perform cleaning, high-level disinfection, and reprocessing of endoscopes using Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AER)

Conduct daily cleaning of worktables, AER machines, flushing pumps, and leak testers

Prepare scopes according to procedure schedules

Inspect, perform leak tests, and manually clean used endoscopes.

Load scopes into AER and initiate reprocessing cycles.

Monitor and evaluate AER test indicators.

Dry and properly store scopes in designated cabinets.

Maintain inventory of endoscopes and disinfectants.

Track and monitor microbiological surveillance of scopes.

Report faulty equipment or scopes to the supervising nurse.

Perform weekly cleaning of sterile storage areas and scope cabinets.

Carry out basic maintenance of AER machines.

Prepare procedure rooms for endoscopy procedures.

Assist in simple diagnostic endoscopy procedures.

Monitor patients before and after procedures under supervision

Requirements

Basic proficiency in written and spoken English

Basic computer skills (preferred)

Healthcare support certifications are an advantage

Responsible, self-motivated, and proactive

Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

Open to 2 rotating shifts and work on Saturday
