Key Responsibilities
Technical Accounting & Financial Statements
Provide guidance on accounting matters (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, impairment, provisions, asset capitalization).
Develop, maintain, and update accounting policies and guidelines
Support the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure group-wide compliance.
Assist with business cases and contracts for accounting implications.
Tax Accounting & Tax Compliance
Assist with corporate income tax computations, deferred tax schedules, capital allowance claims and related supporting documents.
Review tax computations and liaise with tax agents to ensure compliance
Provide guidance to users on GST treatment, compliance and manage the GST manual.
Audit & Reporting Support
Liaise with auditors in the annual financial audit process
Preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS
Support management and group reporting requirements.
GL closing activities and reporting
Partake in monthly activities
Ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger balances through proper review of schedules, reconciliations and variance analysis.
Review balance sheet schedules and follow up on aged or unusual reconciling items.
Coordinate with other finance teams and business units to resolve closing issues and ensure completeness of financial information.
Review reporting reports and packages
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
2–5 years of accounting experience, with exposure to compliance, governance, or system implementation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Proactive in seeking better ways of working.
Comfortable experimenting with new technology to drive efficiency.
Able to balance accounting accuracy with digital acumen.
Jurong Port Pte Ltd is a port operator headquartered in Singapore. Jurong Port, which operates the only multi-purpose port in Singapore, handles bulk, break-bulk and containerised cargo. It handled over 40,000 vessel-calls annually in 2019.
The port owns and operates its own subzone located in the town of Jurong East in Singapore. It is bounded by Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim, Jurong Pier Road, Jurong Island Highway, Seraya Avenue and Sugnei Jurong, including Pulau Damar Laut.
