Job Purpose

To ensure all public areas and surrounding gardens of the resort are clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing, creating a pleasant atmosphere for guests and staff. The Public Area Attendant supports the resort’s cleanliness, comfort, and natural beauty through consistent attention to detail, in line with VIJE’s hospitality standards and Balinese values of harmony and care for the environment.

Key Responsibilities

Public Area Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean and maintain all public areas including lobby, corridors, pool deck, spa area, restaurant, and back-of-house spaces.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, glass, and fixtures.

Empty trash bins and ensure proper waste disposal.

Refill restroom amenities and public area supplies.

Inspect and ensure all public areas are tidy and guest-ready at all times.

Garden & Outdoor Maintenance

Assist in maintaining the resort’s gardens, pathways, and outdoor areas.

Water plants, trim hedges, remove weeds, and clean fallen leaves or debris.

Report plant or landscape issues to the Supervisor.

Support basic upkeep of outdoor decorations and cleanliness around guest areas and parking zones.

Guest & Operational Support

Provide friendly and polite assistance to guests when encountered in public areas.

Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the Supervisor.

Assist in preparation and cleaning during events or outdoor activities as needed.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

Follow standard cleaning procedures and handle chemicals safely.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all assigned indoor and outdoor areas.

Ensure cleaning tools and gardening equipment are properly used and stored after duty.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience as Public Area Attendant or Gardener (fresh graduates are welcome).

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and basic gardening maintenance.

Physically fit, responsible, and detail-oriented.

Basic English communication skill is an advantage.

Positive attitude, cooperative, and aligned with Balinese hospitality and environmental care values.

Additional Duties

Perform other public area or gardening-related tasks as assigned by management. Ensure all activities align with resort policies, brand standards, and guest satisfaction goals.
