Job Purpose

To maintain cleanliness, order, and hygiene in all public areas of the resort, ensuring a pleasant and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The Public Area Attendant supports the resort’s image and guest satisfaction by keeping all common spaces spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained in line with VIJE’s standards and Balinese hospitality values.

Key Responsibilities

Public Area Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean and maintain all public areas including lobby, corridors, restrooms, spa area, pool deck, restaurant, and back-of-house corridors.

Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing of floors, furniture, and fixtures.

Empty trash bins and ensure waste is disposed of properly.

Ensure all cleaning equipment and tools are in good condition and safely stored after use.

Refill supplies in public restrooms and guest facilities as needed.

Guest & Operational Support

Provide courteous and helpful assistance to guests when encountered in public areas.

Report any damage, safety hazard, or maintenance issue to the Supervisor immediately.

Assist with setting up and cleaning during events or special functions when required.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

Follow all cleaning procedures and use chemicals safely according to instructions.

Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in all assigned areas.

Ensure public areas are inspected regularly and always ready for guest use.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience as a Public Area Attendant or similar position (fresh graduates are welcome).

Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and equipment handling.

Physically fit, detail-oriented, and disciplined.

Basic English communication is an advantage.

Positive attitude, cooperative, and aligned with Balinese hospitality values.

Additional Duties

Perform other public area housekeeping tasks as assigned by management. Ensure all activities align with resort policies, brand standards, and guest satisfaction goals
