About the role
The Bid and Proposal Lead is responsible for executing the end-to-end bid and proposal process for architectural projects, from preparation and submission to negotiation and execution. This role ensures that the company secures projects through competitive bids and in line with the company's legal, financial, and project objectives.
Key responsibilities
Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity identification to submission
Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and requirements to develop compliant proposals
Coordinate with internal teams (design, QS, finance, project teams) to gather inputs
Prepare and compile bid documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Develop pricing inputs in collaboration with Finance and relevant stakeholders
Track bid progress and maintain bid status reports
Manage bid plans, timelines, and submission schedules
Conduct risk assessments and highlight commercial considerations
Support client engagement including pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and presentations
Manage post-submission phases, including presentations and negotiations, and conduct post-bid reviews to capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvements initiatives
Maintain CRM records of leads, opportunities, and project related database
Maintain and update a library of project references, method statements, HSE documents, and submission templates
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building, Project Management, or related disciplines
Minimum 3+ years in bid & proposal management, or related roles in the architecture, engineering, or construction industries
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers
Understanding of architectural services agreements, and general terms of contracts in the built environment industry
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and proposals simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for responding to tenders, liaising with clients and internal teams
High level of attention to detail in reviewing bid documents, contracts, and financial data
Ability to assess and mitigate risks associated with project delivery, costs, and contract terms
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
