Job Title: Accountant
Location: Singapore
Reports to: Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to support the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the company. The ideal candidate will handle full set or partial accounts, ensure timely financial reporting, and support compliance with Singapore accounting and tax requirements.
General Accounting
· Prepare month-end schedules and account reconciliations
· Support month-end and year-end closing activities
· Process supplier invoices, staff claims and payments accurately and timely
· Prepare payment vouchers and perform bank transactions
· Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices and payment records
· Issue customer invoices and debit/credit notes
Financial Reporting & Compliance
· Assist in preparation of financial reports and management reports
· Support audit schedules and liaise with auditors when required
· Assist in GST/Withholding tax filing, tax schedules and regulatory compliance matters
· Ensure accounting records comply with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and company policies
Administration Support
· Handle finance-related administrative duties and document control
· Assist with budgeting, expense tracking and ad hoc finance assignments
Qualification / Experience:
· Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
· Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
· Knowledge of accounting principles and Singapore statutory requirements preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
· Meticulous, organized and able to meet deadlines
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Proficiency in both English and Chinese is required for daily work communication
Preferred Experience (Advantageous)
· Experience handling full set accounts
· Experience in audit support, GST reporting
· Experience in consolidated financial statements
