Tunas Industrial Estate is seeking an experienced Clean Water & Wastewater Systems Lead to oversee the operation, maintenance, optimization, and expansion of clean water supply and wastewater treatment systems across the industrial estate. The successful candidate will ensure reliable utility services, regulatory compliance, environmental sustainability, and efficient operation of water infrastructure while leading a team of engineers and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operation and maintenance of Clean Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
- Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all water and wastewater facilities.
- Manage water production, storage, distribution networks, pumping stations, and wastewater collection systems.
- Ensure treated water and discharged wastewater comply with Indonesian environmental regulations and quality standards.
- Monitor plant performance, water quality, chemical consumption, and operational efficiency.
- Optimize treatment processes to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for utility system failures.
- Prepare annual maintenance plans, CAPEX, OPEX, and utility budgets.
- Supervise contractors, consultants, and vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and expansion projects.
- Coordinate utility development projects including pipeline installation, pumping systems, reservoirs, and treatment facilities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, environmental regulations, and company standards.
- Prepare operational reports, KPI reports, regulatory submissions, and management presentations.
- Lead and develop the Water & Wastewater Operations team through coaching and performance management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum **7 years** of experience in Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Utility Systems, or Industrial Estate Utilities.
- Minimum **3 years** in a Lead, Supervisor, or Managerial position.
- Strong experience operating:
- Water Treatment Plant (WTP)
- Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)
- Water Distribution Systems
- Pumping Stations
- Water Storage & Reservoir Systems
- Industrial Utility Networks
- Strong understanding of biological, physical, and chemical water treatment processes.
- Familiar with Indonesian environmental regulations, wastewater discharge standards, and water quality requirements.
- Experience with SCADA, PLC, instrumentation, and process automation is preferred.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical reporting.
- Willing to be based in Batam.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial estates, manufacturing plants, utilities, or infrastructure companies.
- Certification related to Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, or Environmental Management is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Environmental Management Systems.
- Experience managing large-scale utility infrastructure projects.
- Familiar with water reuse, recycling systems, and sustainability initiativ
