Operating across Indonesia (Bali), the Philippines, Thailand, and Japan, Villas R Us aims to set new standards in the vacation rental and holiday home market. We focus on making holidays effortless by combining modern amenities with high-quality hospitality, daily housekeeping, and dedicated villa assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve company websites and web applications.
- Build responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing website interfaces.
- Manage and maintain front-end and back-end website functionality.
- Monitor website performance, uptime, security, and overall functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and website errors in a timely manner.
- Manage website content and ensure information is accurate, functional, and regularly updated.
- Perform regular updates to CMS, plugins, frameworks, libraries, and other website components.
- Manage databases, APIs, integrations, and other technical systems related to the website.
- Optimize website speed, performance, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Support technical SEO implementation, including website structure, page speed, metadata, sitemap, and other technical requirements.
- Monitor website analytics, traffic, user behavior, and conversion performance.
- Support integration with booking engines, payment gateways, analytics tools, CRM, OTA platforms, and other systems when required.
- Conduct technology and market research to identify opportunities for website improvement and development.
- Work closely with the Social Media & Digital Marketing Team to implement campaigns, landing pages, promotional content, and other digital initiatives.
- Collaborate with the General Manager, Director, and relevant departments to understand business requirements, project priorities, and website development needs.
- Provide accurate project timelines, progress updates, and technical recommendations to Management.
- Maintain proper documentation of website systems, domains, hosting, databases, integrations, licenses, and technical configurations.
- Ensure appropriate website backup, security, and recovery procedures are maintained.
- Participate in continuous website innovation and improvements to support business growth.
- Perform other website, web development, and IT-related duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Web Development and Programming for building and maintaining websites and web applications.
- Strong Front-End Development and Web Design skills.
- Knowledge of Back-End Development, including server-side logic, databases, APIs, integrations, and application security.
- Proficiency in modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, relational or NoSQL databases, and web development tools.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, website performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience in travel, hospitality, villa management, or e-commerce is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment in Bali.
