Warehouse Manager

Job Overview

The Warehouse Manager will lead and oversee the entire warehouse operations of Biteship's fulfillment warehouse across multiple cities. This role is responsible for ensuring that inbound receiving, storage, pick & pack, and outbound shipping processes run accurately, efficiently, and within SLA for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple product categories, including FMCG, fashion, body care, and skincare.

The Warehouse Manager will lead team supervisors at each warehouse location, maintain inventory accuracy through the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and ensure warehouse operations support a seamless experience for both clients and end customers, including smooth integration with marketplaces.

Job Descriptions

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, supervise, and develop the entire warehouse team (warehouse supervisors, warehouse leaders, warehouse staff) across multiple locations
• Design work structures, shift schedules, and team responsibilities according to daily order volume
• Coach and evaluate team performance, and build a disciplined, SOP-driven work culture
• Recruit, train, and onboard new warehouse staff as needed for business expansion

Warehouse Operations

• Manage the profit and loss (P&L) performance of each warehouse, including monitoring operational costs against budget, identifying cost efficiency opportunities, and reporting P&L performance regularly to management
• Maintain strong relationships with fulfillment clients, acting as the primary operational point of contact and ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently met
• Oversee the inbound process (receiving and inspecting incoming goods from clients) to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure efficient put-away and warehouse layout management, including storage segregation based on product characteristics (e.g., FMCG, fashion, body care, and skincare items that may require different handling such as temperature sensitivity, fragility, or expiry tracking)
• Oversee picking, packing, and outbound processes to meet shipping SLA targets
• Ensure smooth execution of periodic stock opname (cycle counts) and timely resolution of stock discrepancies
• Manage product returns and the reconciliation of stock resulting from returns

Inventory & System Management

• Ensure inventory data in the WMS is always accurate and synchronized with clients' sales/marketplace systems
• Coordinate with the Product and Engineering team to troubleshoot system issues related to stock, order, and shipping synchronization
• Monitor inventory accuracy rate and minimize shrinkage (loss/damage of goods)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with the Business Development team on client needs and complaints related to warehouse operations
• Work closely with the 3PL partner team to ensure smooth pickup and delivery processes
• Coordinate with the Finance team on warehouse operational costs (inbound cost, storage cost, supplies cost, etc.)
• Report warehouse operational performance regularly to management (SLA achievement, inventory accuracy, team productivity, operational costs)

Continuous Improvement

• Identify bottlenecks in warehouse processes and propose process/SOP improvements
• Support the standardization of SOPs across all Biteship warehouses (multi-city) for consistency
• Evaluate the need for additional warehouse capacity in line with business growth

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in any field (Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, or Supply Chain preferred)
• Minimum 7 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role leading a team
• Experience managing B2C warehouse with multiple clients and/or multiple product categories (FMCG, fashion, beauty/skincare, etc.) is a strong advantage
• Familiar with using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and marketplace integrations
• Solid understanding of end-to-end fulfillment processes: inbound, storage, picking, packing, outbound, returns, and stock opname
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams across multiple locations/cities
• Analytical mindset, able to read operational data (SLA, inventory accuracy, productivity) to support decision-making
• Comfortable working with targets/KPIs in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to travel/conduct site visits to warehouses in various cities
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
