WAITER / WAITRESS
We are looking for a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented Waiter / Waitress to join our team at High Five Cafe & Eatery.
About the Role
You will be responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to our guests. You will ensure that every guest receives a warm, professional, and efficient service experience while maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Explain menu items and provide recommendations when required.
Serve food and beverages according to the restaurant's service standards.
Ensure orders are served accurately and in a timely manner.
Check with guests regularly to ensure they are satisfied with their meals and overall experience.
Clear and reset tables promptly and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant and service areas.
Ensure cutlery, glassware, napkins, condiments, and other service items are properly stocked.
Assist with preparing tables and service stations before, during, and after service.
Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally and report any issues to the supervisor.
Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, host, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
Assist with restaurant preparation before and after events and busy periods.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards at all times.
Support other operational tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Waiter / Waitress in a restaurant, café, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred.
Fluent in English, other language is an advantage
Food & beverage or hospitality experience is a plus.
Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented personality.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, hardworking, and attentive to detail.
Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
Willingness to learn and improve service skills.
Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
