Video Editor Freelance

Heart Pictures is an Indonesian film production house dedicated to creating compelling stories that connect with audiences through film, culture, and creativity. We are looking for a creative and reliable Freelance Video Editor to collaborate with our production and marketing teams in producing high-impact promotional content for our films and digital platforms.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in video editing (freelance, agency, or production environment).
• Advanced proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong skills in motion graphics and typography using Adobe After Effects or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of narrative storytelling, pacing, color grading, and audio mixing.
• Highly creative, detail-oriented, and able to manage time independently to hit project deadlines.
• Up-to-date with current social media video trends and algorithms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work remotely and implement feedback effectively.
• Portfolio or showreel is required showcasing past commercial, film, or short-form video work.

Job Description

• Edit high-quality, engaging video content for film marketing, trailers, behind-the-scenes (BTS), and digital media campaigns on a project or retainer basis.
• Ingest, assemble, cut, and organize raw footage according to creative briefs and director vision.
• Implement custom motion graphics, title animations, captions, transitions, and polished sound design.
• Deliver dynamic video assets optimized across multiple platforms and aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1).
• Collaborate directly with the Creative, Marketing, and Post-Production leads to align content with strategic goals.
• Manage post-production workflows and complete revisions promptly based on team and client feedback.
