About the Role
Melaju Digital is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce engaging Esports content across various social media platforms. This is a 6-month contract position for individuals who are passionate about gaming and esports, enjoy storytelling through video, and can create fast-paced, trend-driven content that captures audience attention.
Responsibilities
Edit short-form and long-form esports content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms
Create engaging highlight videos, match recaps, player features, behind-the-scenes content, promotional videos, and campaign assets
Enhance videos with subtitles, motion graphics, sound effects, transitions, and music
Stay updated with gaming, esports, and social media trends to produce relevant and engaging content
Collaborate with the marketing, creative, and esports teams to deliver high-quality content
Organize and manage gameplay footage, video assets, and project files efficiently
Ensure all content is aligned with the brand's visual identity and quality standards
Revise and improve video edits based on feedback while meeting project deadlines
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any major or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in video editing for social media, gaming, esports, or digital content (fresh graduates with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply)
Passionate about gaming and the esports industry
Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar
Familiar with creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form video platforms
Strong understanding of video pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement
Creative, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
A portfolio showcasing video editing work, especially gaming or esports content, is required
Basic motion graphics skills (Adobe After Effects or similar) are a plus
