Description
SJ 2.0 is a reservation only, 40 course dining experience built around presence, memory and emotion.
The Centrepiece of the space is a 12 metre dome. We are building a small in house VFX team to create the content that lives inside it.
This is not advertising work and not a screen in the corner of restaurant. Each course carries a feeling, and your work is what the guest sits inside while they eat.
What will you do:
- Design, animate and render VFX sequences mapped to individual courses. Build and operate the playback system during service.
- Work directly with the chef to translate a dish into image, light and movement. Maintain and iterate the content library as the menu evolves.
What we are looking for:
- Strong 3D, motion or VFX fundamentals. Comfort with at least one of TouchDesigner, Notch, Houdini, Blender, Unreal, Cinema 4D or After Effects.
- An eye for restraint. Willingness to be present during service, because the work is only finished when it is felt in the room.An eye for restraint. Willingness to be present during service, because the work is only finished when it is felt in the room.
Helpful but not required:
- Fisheye or equirectangular rendering, projector warping and blending, media server experience, particle and simulation work, audio and visual sync.
