Job description for UI Developer at Cybersprout
- Minimum, a Diploma in Art/Design/Multimedia/IT/Software Engineering/Web Development or equivalent with a portfolio or course work focused on website/graphic design, user interface methodology, and creative process.
- Graphic design skills and creativity for creation of mockups and improvement of websites’ UI/UX.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience coding and developing in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/jQuery across multi-devices and browsers.
- Submissions of Digital portfolio and GitHub repository are required when applying for this position. This will help us in the initial recruitment process, to assess and evaluate your work experience, techniques, and skillset for this position.
- Proficiency in design software and tools like, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD.
- Clear comprehension of UI/UX fundamentals (i.e. the ability to execute a design concept, take art direction, modify, and evolve a design based on feedback, etc.)
- To manage a project from start to finish, ensuring implemented codes are aligned with design mockups, and to conduct testing of different scenarios and to carry out necessary debugging with IT team.
- Create, design wireframes and mockups for websites and related graphical elements (e.g. banners).
- Convert mockups to codes for implementation to websites.
- Provide and gather feedbacks to improve user interface and user experience of websites, and implement them to websites where necessary, and measure the data of incorporated enhancements.
- Mockups must abide by strict specifications (i.e. width, height, style, colours) provided by the Marketing team or clients.
- Codes must adhere to existing standards and guidelines (i.e. BEM naming of class names), written clearly with comments for ease of understanding among teammates.
- Feedbacks provided must be backed by research (e.g. competitor site). Changes implemented based on these feedbacks must be analysed using a third-party software (i.e. Google Analytics, Hotjar) to determine its effectiveness.
