Deskripsi pekerjaan Translator Intern The Jakarta Post

The Jakarta Post is Indonesia’s most influential English newspaper. It provides content and services in line with its role as a leading media in the country and Southeast Asia (SEA) region. Established in April 25, 1983, The Jakarta Post (the Post) has a vision to lead the creation and development of democratic societies in SEA by consistently promoting openness, pluralism and critical thinking.

Job Description:
• Convert articles from English to Indonesia and/or Indonesia to English for daily publication.
• Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
• Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy

Requirements:

• Excellent translating and proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.

• Student from any major, preferably English Literature.

• Preferably in the last semester of study with no active classes; or students working on an ongoing thesis work.

• Able work from the office (Palmerah)
