As a Fleet Trainer – Repair & Maintenance, you will play a key role in developing and strengthening the capabilities of our workforce in electric vehicle repair and maintenance. You will be responsible for delivering effective training programs, building technical competencies, and ensuring that our teams have the knowledge and skills required to maintain Electrum’s vehicles to high standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
Job Description:
- Design, develop, and deliver technical training modules and curriculum specifically for SA QC (Service Advisor & Quality Control) mechanics.
- Conduct theoretical and practical training sessions covering electric vehicle electrical systems, battery management, brakes, tires, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Evaluate and assess the competency and skill gaps of SA QC mechanics before and after training sessions.
- Provide continuous on-the-job coaching and mentoring to mechanics to ensure strict compliance with repair SOPs and quality control standards.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Operation and Management team to update training materials based on the latest electric vehicle technology and recurring operational issues.
- Train mechanics on how to properly handle customer complaints regarding EV performance and correctly record all service activities in the daily work report.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a motorcycle repair shop, authorized dealer, or vehicle rental company as a Senior Mechanic, Service Advisor, or QA/QC.
- Experienced in working in the 2-wheeled electric vehicle industry.
- Prior experience as a Technical Trainer, Instructor, or in mentoring role is highly preferred.
- Deeply understand the electrical system and electric motor components.
- Able to use measuring tools and advanced workshop equipment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and instructional skills for teaching adults/mechanics.
- Careful, agile, and have high initiative. Able to work in a team or individually.
- Willing to work in the field and travel between pool locations if needed.
