Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document requirements with Product Owners, Architects, and business users; translate needs into user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Analyze and design end-to-end BSS commercial-to-cash flows, including product/offer definition (catalog & pricing rules), customer lifecycle (CRM/party), ordering & orchestration (order management), and billing & invoicing (accounting, adjustments), including revenue-impact touchpoints where applicable.
- Define functional behavior, validations, business rules, configuration logic, and clear edge-case handling to ensure consistent implementation.
- Produce solution artifacts such as Functional Specification Documents (FSD), BPMN/UML process flows, sequence diagrams, integration contracts, and API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger) when needed.
- Document BSS integration points and dependencies (channels, downstream analytics/mediation, and OSS touchpoints where relevant) and align payloads/data mapping across interfaces.
- Act as the primary clarification point for Development and QA to ensure delivery matches intent; support grooming, test scenario review, UAT readiness, and defect triage from a functional perspective.
- Execute targeted PoCs/experiments to validate solution designs, test assumptions, and de-risk complex initiatives.
- Maintain standards, reusable patterns, and a knowledge base for BSS modeling/configuration and integration guidance.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry as a System Analyst / Business Analyst / Solution Designer.
- Deep understanding of at least one core BSS area (e.g., Product Catalog, CRM, Order Management, Billing) and its role in the end-to-end service lifecycle.
- Demonstrable experience producing detailed technical documentation (FSD, API specs, UML/BPMN) and translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Strong analytical skills: can model complex business scenarios and propose clear, logical solutions.
- Strong communication: able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
