Technical Support Engineer
The Role:
The Technical Support engineer is responsible for 1st level support to local customer and regional 2nd level escalation support on SMT Solution equipment. You will need to ensure open issues are followed up until it is resolved, and communicates the solution to regional service and/or customers. You will primarily be performing SMT equipment installation, hotline management and field servicing which includes escalation support to the customers in Rest of Asia.
Responsibilities:
Perform machines installation, commissioning, on-site training, & production monitoring
Perform standby service support & respond to customer or regional service call. Attend to problems at customer sites as and when required
Provide 2nd level regional support to internal and external customers on all aspects of service activities
Provide on-site training to customers, or internal customers as a specific technical product champion
Perform other technical related activities specific to our SMT Solutions offerings
Conduct Product (Hardware / Software) training for ASM customers and internal FSEs
Formulate training courses, contents and materials at global level in course development as a project team leader or member. Standardise scope of training and deliver in a professional manner
Establish Digital Learning and Training Management Platform as a global standard delivery towards excellent customer satisfaction
Continuously improve and develop new ideas and technology on product training delivery that adds value to our customers
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
Proficiency in English speaking/writing
Knowledge in basic project management skills will be advantageous
Experience in SMT equipment especially in area of Service will be advantageous
Experience in SMT Process and Applications will be advantageous
Strong analytical mind and problem solving skills, results & quality oriented
Able to travel on short notice
Possess strong team dynamics and able to work in a multicultural environment and with people at all levels. This position will work closely with engineers/departments in other global locations
