Job Summary
BIASA is seeking an experienced Technical Assistant Designer to support the Senior Designer in developing sophisticated, artisanal collections. This role required strong technical ability or creative skills, excellent coordination, and the capacity to interpret design requirements and translate instructions accurately into development execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Support design development from concept to sample, ensuring alignment with BIASA’s aesthetic and quality standards.
• Create and maintain detailed Style Files / Tech Packs, including fabric, trim, measurements, construction notes, and finishing specifications.
• Create Sample Forms with complete product information and accurate technical drawings.
• Attend product development meetings, document change requests, and ensure clear follow-up with all departments.
• Coordinate closely with the pattern and sample rooms to ensure instructions are fully understood and correctly executed.
• Assist in the review of proto/SMS samples, identify issues, and communicate corrections with technical precision.
• Update the Master Item Database and manage Development Requests in the ERP (Polpo).
• Collaborate with Industrialization, Fabric, Merchandising, and Production teams throughout the development cycle.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an atelier, ideally with exposure to demi-couture or artisanal garments.
• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and finishing techniques.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel.
• CAD skills (preferred).
• Familiarity with 3D rendering software (preferred).
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to handle multiple developments in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours
08.30 AM to 17.30 PM, 5 days a week.
