Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports as needed by stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct system problems.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize academic, financial, and human resource information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
- Improve data quality across educational and business systems.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations in consultation with stakeholders and advise and support as needed.
- Identify and recommend new ways to save time and money by streamlining business processes.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Manager/Analyst (preferably in a school environment)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, data mining, and segmentation
- Familiarity with school management information systems
- Proficient in data visualization and reporting
- Solid understanding of statistics and analytical tools
- Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
- Skilled in querying, report writing, and data presentation
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and develop dashboards/reports
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics (plus programming/cloud is a bonus)
- High integrity, good communication, teamwork, confidentiality, and a positive, flexible attitude
