Overview
System Analyst is responsible for translating business requirements into comprehensive technical solutions that support business objectives and system development. This role oversees technical design, solution documentation, system integration testing, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The System Analyst also contributes to process improvements by leveraging modern technologies, including AI-powered development tools, while ensuring software quality, scalability, security, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and system requirements to develop detailed technical specifications that address both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, and security.
- Design technical solutions that align with business objectives and software architecture standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end system integration testing to ensure applications meet functional requirements, quality standards, and project expectations.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Sequence Diagrams, API Documentation, Data Dictionary, and Test Scenarios.
- Support software development activities by integrating AI-powered tools and technologies into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to improve productivity and delivery quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, UI/UX Designers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in solution discussions, technical reviews, and project planning activities to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
- Ensure all technical deliverables comply with organizational development standards, best practices, and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a System Analyst within software development or IT operations.
- Minimum 1–2 years of previous experience as a Backend or Full-Stack Developer.
- Proven experience translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and system designs.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Hands-on experience using analysis and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, UML, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, cross-browser compatibility, and User Interface (UI) principles.
- Solid understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), and Web Services.
- Experience using Git and issue tracking or ticket management systems.
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
- Experience using Angular Framework.
- Experience developing applications using .NET C# or Java.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled software development tools and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience working in cross-functional product development teams.
