System Administrator – IT Infrastructure & Operations

We are looking for a System Administrator to support and maintain the company's IT infrastructure and operations, including servers, cloud services, networking, monitoring systems, and IT assets. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to ensure system availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Administration

• Manage and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
• Perform system installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

Cloud Administration

• Support and maintain AWS infrastructure and services.
• Monitor cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery processes.

Network Administration

• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and network connectivity.

Database Support

• Monitor and maintain PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Perform database backups and recovery tasks.
• Support application teams with database-related issues.

Monitoring & Incident Management

• Configure and maintain monitoring tools such as PRTG, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
• Respond to alerts and resolve infrastructure incidents.
• Document incidents and perform root cause analysis when required.

Asset Management

• Maintain inventory records for IT hardware, software, and licenses.
• Ensure asset records remain accurate and up to date.

Technical Support & Operations

• Provide Level 1/2 support for infrastructure-related issues.
• Collaborate with clients, and internal teams to resolve technical problems.
• Participate in an Engineer on Duty (EOD) rotation to provide operational support, incident response, and service monitoring outside normal business hours.
• Respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, coordinate escalations, and drive incidents through to resolution.
• Perform proper shift handover and maintain accurate incident documentation.
  

Requirements

• Experience 2–3 years of experience in System Administration or Infrastructure Support.

Technical Skills

• Linux and Windows Server administration.
• AWS cloud platform.
• Network configuration.
• PostgreSQL and MySQL administration.
• Monitoring tools such as PRTG, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Bash) is an advantage.

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
