About the Role:
As a Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the kitchen and supporting areas. This role supports daily operations in the R&D kitchen and training kitchen, ensuring all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are clean, well-maintained, and ready for use.
This position is essential in supporting a smooth and professional kitchen environment for both internal operations and client activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Sanitation:
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dishwashing area, and storage areas
- Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools
- Ensure proper cleaning of cooking equipment, surfaces, and workstations
- Dispose of waste and manage garbage according to hygiene standards
Kitchen Support:
- Assist kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Support basic kitchen preparation tasks if required
- Ensure availability of clean utensils and equipment during operations
- Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies when needed
Maintenance & Organization:
- Ensure proper storage and handling of kitchen equipment
- Monitor cleanliness and report any maintenance or hygiene issues
- Maintain cleaning schedules and follow hygiene procedures
- Support overall kitchen readiness for R&D activities and training sessions
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School or equivalent
- Experience as a Steward or in kitchen support is an advantage
- Understanding of basic hygiene and sanitation practices
- Physically fit and able to handle cleaning tasks
- Responsible, disciplined, and detail-oriented
- Able to word in a team and follow instructions
- Willing to work in a dynamic kitchen environment
