About the role

As a Retail Store Staff at Resonare Music Store, you are responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the store, providing customer service, increasing sales, maintaining store readiness, assisting marketing activities, and supporting basic technical needs of the store. You will work with various music products including pianos, guitars, drums, violins, sound systems, and accessories.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Identify customer needs and budget to provide suitable product recommendations
• Explain product features, functions, specifications, and differences to customers
• Assist customers in selecting products such as pianos, keyboards, guitars, bass, drums, electronic drums, violins, sound systems, and accessories
• Perform simple product demonstrations when needed
• Follow up with potential customers who have not made a purchase
• Help achieve store sales targets through upselling and cross-selling
• Maintain good relationships with customers after transactions
• Prepare and open the store before operations, ensuring display areas are clean, organized, and ready
• Organize and tidy products by category and ensure price labels and product information are available and accurate
• Assist with stock checks for incoming and outgoing goods and help receive goods from suppliers
• Assist with packing and goods dispatch
• Ensure display items are in good condition and maintain product security during store hours
• Help close and tidy the store after operations
• Assist with basic setup and checking of music products before customer use
• Help setup guitars, keyboards, pianos, electronic drums, sound systems, and other equipment
• Assist with checking cable connections, power, audio input/output, and supporting devices
• Prepare products for customer demonstrations and equipment for events, music classes, product demos, or store needs
• Ensure demo equipment is functioning properly
• Assist with simple troubleshooting before escalating to technicians if needed
• Maintain and care for store equipment to keep it in good condition
• Help document photos and videos of products in the store
• Prepare products for social media content needs
• Help create simple content for Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and marketplace platforms
• Record product demo videos and provide product information to the marketing team
• Assist with store promotions, campaigns, events, product demos, workshops, and promotional activities
• Actively seek opportunities to increase store traffic and sales
• Record transactions and sales activities according to company systems
• Record incoming and outgoing stock and verify physical stock accuracy
• Create simple reports on sales, customers, follow-ups, popular products, stock, and marketing activities
• Report operational issues to supervisor or management
• Maintain cleanliness of display areas and work spaces
• Ensure products remain well-organized and report any damage to management

About you

• Good communication skills and confidence when dealing with customers
• Sales-oriented and target-focused mindset
• Interest in music and musical instruments
• Willing to work Thursday to Sunday, 13:00 – 21:00 WIB
• Responsible, disciplined, honest, and self-motivated
• Willing to learn about music products and audio equipment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to assist with store operational work as needed
• Able to play musical instruments such as guitar, piano, keyboard, drum, bass, or violin (valued)
• Experience working in music stores, retail, sales, or customer service (valued)
• Understanding of basic sound system and audio (valued)
• Understanding of basic DAW or digital music equipment usage (valued)
• Basic equipment troubleshooting skills (valued)
• Ability to create simple photos and videos for social media (valued)
• Experience using Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp Business, or marketplace platforms (valued)
• Experience with online and offline sales (valued)
