The HRD Officer is responsible for overseeing the development and well-being of employees within the organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing talent development strategies, performance evaluations, and ensuring employee satisfaction and engagement. The HRD officer plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s culture, improving retention, and promoting continuous learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Selection:Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to conducting interviews and facilitating the selection process.
2. Develop recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
3. Work with department heads to determine hiring needs and create job descriptions.
Onboarding and Orientation:
1. Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring that new hires are well-integrated into the company culture.
2. Design and deliver orientation programs for new employees.
Employee Development and Training:
1. Create and implement training programs and employee development plans.
2. Conduct skills gap analyses and identify training needs across departments.
3. Ensure employees are developing and growing in their careers through ongoing training opportunities.
Performance Management:
1. Oversee performance appraisal systems and ensure timely completion of reviews.
2. Provide coaching and feedback to managers and employees to improve performance.
3. Design systems to reward and recognize high performers.
Employee Relations:
1. Act as a mediator between employees and management to resolve conflicts and address grievances.
2. Implement employee engagement initiatives to maintain a positive working environment.
HR Policies and Procedures:
1. Develop, implement, and update HR policies in line with labor laws and company needs.
2. Ensure all policies are communicated clearly to employees and followed correctly.
Talent Retention and Succession Planning:
1. Develop retention strategies to minimize employee turnover.
2. Plan for succession in key roles by identifying and developing future leaders within the organization.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
1. Monitor and analyze HR data such as retention rates, employee satisfaction, and training effectiveness.
2. Generate reports for senior management on HRD initiatives and outcomes.
