The Sous Chef will play a vital role in supporting the head chef in managing the kitchen operations. Key responsibilities include assisting in menu planning, overseeing daily kitchen activities, ensuring food quality and consistency, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and mentoring junior staff. The Sous Chef will also be responsible for coordinating with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and timely meal preparation. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a deep understanding of Western cuisine. A collaborative spirit and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Candidates must have an Associate Degree or equivalent educational background. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a restaurant setting is required. Proficiency in cooking, particularly in Western cuisine, is essential, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills.
