Job description for Software Project Manager at Truffle Technologies

Responsibilities
- Work closely with a small team to deliver mobile/web application development projects from prototyping to the deployment of the final products
- Gather and manage requirements, write functional specifications and build excellent user experiences for the applications
- Participate in designing and building technical solutions for the applications using JavaScript (Node.js)
- Manage and coordinate tasks of the development team, monitor project progress, adjust priorities to the changing project requirements
- Communicate proactively with the team to remove obstacles, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
- Implement and enforce Agile best practices to the software development team work
- Assist and support the team with testing, troubleshooting and optimizing the apps to make sure they run smoothly on mobile/web platform
- Write and update technical documents
Requirements
- At least Batchelor’s or similar degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or another relevant field
- Strong technical background with understanding and hands-on experience in software development
- Experience in leading teams of 10+ developers
- Practical experience in working in distributed Agile teams
- Solid knowledge of agile principles and practices
- Solid knowledge of application development processes and best practices
- Hands-on experience in JavaScript development (Node.js)
- Experience in RESTful APIs and JSON data format
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Genuine interest in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality
- Good organizational skills including attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a small team and independently
- Entrepreneurial and experimental mindset
- Positive can-do attitude and teamwork spirit
- Innate curiosity and passion to learn and develop your skills continuously
- Fast learner
- Located in Singapore
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in full project life cycle software development
- Familiar with data structures and algorithms
- Experience in Git version control
- Knowledge of microservice architecture
- Knowledge of AWS or other cloud-based infrastructure
- Knowledge of unit testing, test automation, and user acceptance testing
- Knowledge of DevOps best practices and applying those in the software development projects
