What You Will Do
- Own features end-to-end, from understanding the problem and shaping the solution to building, shipping, and maintaining it in production.
- Build high-quality software with clean, maintainable, and testable code, while contributing thoughtful feedback through code reviews.
- Leverage AI coding tools throughout your development workflow, from exploring solutions and writing code to testing and reviewing, while using your own judgment to validate the output.
- Contribute to AI-powered product features, including working with LLMs to explore new ways to improve the learning experience.
- Keep improving what you build, whether that means debugging production issues, improving performance, or finding better ways to build and ship.
What You Will Need
- ~2 years of experience building and shipping software in a production environment.
- Solid backend fundamentals and experience building with at least one programming language. We primarily use Go, so you should be excited to learn and work with Go as part of the role.
- Comfort working with relational databases, and an understanding of how data flows through an application.
- Some frontend experience with an interest in working across the stack. We use React and TypeScript, with a primary focus on backend development
- A strong sense of ownership. You’ve built and shipped something you’re proud of, and you care about what happens after it goes live.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new parts of the stack, infrastructure, observability, AI, or product, rather than staying within a fixed technical scope.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
