Overview
A mid-level backend engineering role focused on developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software systems and features. As a software engineer, will be the brain behind crafting, developing, testing, going live, and maintaining the system. Passionate in understanding the business context for features built to drive better customer, experience and adoption.The role involves working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable technical solutions while considering business requirements, customer experience, and product adoption.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend systems and features.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Operations, and Backend teams across different squads.
- Develop clear, efficient, well-tested, and maintainable code.
- Support the delivery of product and feature roadmaps.
- Collaborate with backend engineering teams on technical initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve production issues across services and different levels of the technology stack.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Strong understanding of common programming concepts, problems, and solutions.
- Solid knowledge of algorithms, algorithmic complexity, OOP, design patterns, and clean code.
- Experience developing and maintaining software systems.
- Ability to write clear, efficient, tested, and maintainable code.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, estimate, and execute technical tasks effectively.
- Ability to scope, review, and refine user stories or technical tasks for technical completeness and to minimize dependency risks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in finance, payment, and/or accounting systems.
- Experience with Go.
- Experience with PHP Yii2 is a plus.
- Experience working with large datasets and/or high-concurrency systems.
