Software Engineer (Medior Level)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Medior Software Engineer to build and maintain scalable applications across our stack. Your primary focus will be backend development using PHP (Laravel) and Golang, while also contributing to frontend development with Vue.js/Nuxt when needed. You will work independently on features from planning to production, contribute to technical discussions, and collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and QA teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software. This role is ideal for engineers who already have solid hands-on experience, enjoy working across the stack, and want to grow toward deeper ownership of systems and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs, from requirement analysis to production release.
2. Integrate with internal systems and third-party services.
3. Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following team standards and best practices.
4. Design database schemas and optimize MySQL queries for performance and scalability.
5. Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
6. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
7. Support frontend development when needed, including building or maintaining Vue.js/Nuxt components and integrating them with backend APIs.
8. Contribute to technical design discussions and continuous improvement of the system architecture.
9. Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
10. Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
11. Support junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
    

Qualifications

Must-have

1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Backend Engineer.
2. Strong proficiency in PHP with the Laravel Framework.
3. Working experience with Golang, or a strong willingness to learn it.
4. Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
5. Solid understanding of MySQL, including query optimization and indexing.
6. Experience implementing authentication and authorization.
7. Experience writing unit and/or integration tests.
8. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js fundamentals.
9. Proficient with Git and collaborative workflows (pull requests, code reviews).
10. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
11. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
12. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    

Nice-to-have

1. Hands-on experience with Nuxt.
2. Experience with Redis and/or message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
3. Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
4. Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to improve productivity and ideation.
