About Kongsi :
Kongsi is building a shared freight platform for Indonesia. Right now, trucks often travel half empty, and businesses shipping smaller loads end up paying full price. We fix this by grouping compatible shipments together, so trucks are used better and shipping costs less. We are a small team, post seed funding, working toward our MVP. Our holding company is in Singapore, and we are setting up a subsidiary (PT PMA) in Indonesia. As an early hire, you will help shape how we work, not just what we build.
About the Role:
As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll build features for booking, pricing, dispatch, and tracking. You'll work on the frontend using React and TypeScript, and the backend using Go and PostgreSQL. You'll work closely with Product and Operations to turn early ideas into working, shipped features.
What You'll Do :
- Build features across booking, pricing, dispatch, and tracking
- Build the frontend using React and TypeScript
- Build backend services using Go and PostgreSQL
- Test and monitor your features in production
- Work with Product and Operations to clarify what needs to be built
What We're Looking For:
- About 3 to 5 years of experience as a software engineer
- Solid experience with both frontend and backend development
- Comfortable with React, TypeScript, and Go (or a similar backend language)
- Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Able to take a feature from idea to production on your own
Nice to Have:
- Experience with payments, queues, or real time systems
- Experience in logistics
What Success Looks Like After 90 Days:
- Shipped at least one feature from start to finish in production
- Comfortable working across both the frontend and backend code
- Built a good working rhythm with Product and Operations
