We are hiring a Senior Social Media Account Manager to oversee and manage social media activities across multiple client accounts within our digital marketing agency, Gaia Digital Agency. This is a mid-level position that combines account management, project coordination, client communication, and social media management responsibilities. You will serve as the bridge between clients and internal teams while ensuring all social media projects are executed smoothly, on time, and according to strategy.
This is a full-time on-site position based in Ubud, Bali. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. English is the primary working language, and strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
You will work closely with the Head of Social Media, Creative Manager, Social Media Managers, General Manager and all the relevant team member to ensure the successful execution of campaigns across multiple brands and industries.
Your primary responsibility is to manage multiple client accounts while coordinating internal teams to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling day-to-day communications, gathering feedback, managing revisions, providing project updates, and ensuring client expectations are aligned with internal execution.
You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring all projects move through the agency efficiently. This includes managing timelines, coordinating deliverables, organizing workflows, identifying potential bottlenecks, and ensuring all stakeholders have the information they need to perform effectively.
Unlike a traditional Account Manager role, you will also maintain ownership of the social media accounts under your supervision. While Social Media Managers will support the day-to-day management of assigned brands, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring the overall quality, consistency, and performance of those accounts.
You are expected to have a strong understanding of social media management and be capable of contributing directly to account execution when required. This may include developing or reviewing content plans, creating content calendars, scheduling posts, coordinating publishing activities, reviewing captions, ensuring brand consistency, monitoring engagement, and supporting reporting processes.
You will work closely with the Head of Social Media to ensure strategies are properly implemented and collaborate with the Creative Manager to ensure creative assets are delivered according to project requirements. You will also coordinate with Social Media Managers to ensure content execution aligns with each client's objectives, brand positioning, and campaign goals.
As part of your responsibilities, you will oversee multiple accounts simultaneously and ensure all content, campaigns, reports, and communications are delivered on time. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively are essential.
Many of our clients operate within the luxury, hospitality, F&B, lifestyle, wellness, and premium service sectors. As such, you should have a strong understanding of brand positioning and what luxury communication should look and feel like. The ability to maintain premium brand standards across all client touchpoints is highly valuable.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels. Familiarity with content strategy, community management, content planning, campaign execution, reporting, and performance analysis is required.
You must be highly proficient with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, as it is heavily used for project tracking, content planning, approvals, and reporting. Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Instagram tools, AI-powered productivity tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Magnific, and similar platforms), and project management software is highly beneficial.
You will also be responsible for ensuring client reports are prepared accurately and delivered on schedule. The ability to analyze social media performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate insights clearly to both clients and internal teams is important.
This role requires someone who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects, clients, and deadlines simultaneously. You should be able to work independently, solve problems efficiently, and maintain a high level of professionalism when communicating with clients and team members.
Previous experience within a digital marketing agency, creative agency, social media agency, or account management environment is highly preferred. Experience handling multiple brands simultaneously and coordinating cross-functional teams will be considered a significant advantage.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in social media management, account management, project management, digital marketing, or related roles. Experience managing multiple client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment is strongly preferred.
