Job Description
As a Security Analyst L1, you are the first line of defense in monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats. You will work as part of the SOC team to triage alerts, log incidents, and escalate complex issues to L2 analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Monitoring:
Monitor systems in real-time using SIEM and security tools.
Detect anomalies or suspicious activities in systems and networks.
Incident Management:
Triage and respond to alerts based on severity.
Accurately log incidents and mitigation steps taken.
Escalation:
Escalate incidents to L2 based on severity and SOP guidance.
System Maintenance:
Ensure proper collection and correlation of logs from various sources.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with IT and technical teams to resolve vulnerabilities or misconfigurations.
Daily Reporting:
Prepare shift handover notes and daily reports for SOC management.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in IT/Security (fresh graduates with internship experience or certifications are welcome).
Familiar with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, and basic networking.
Ability to analyze logs and detect common threats.
Holding entry-level certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar is a plus.
Willing to work in rotating shifts and under pressure.
Strong attention to detail, fast response, and good communication skills.
