1. Design, install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers
2. Plan and implement server backup and recovery procedures
3. Monitor server performance and capacity utilization, and recommend upgrades as needed
4. Develop and maintain documentation for server infrastructure
5. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control
6. Install and configure software and applications on servers
7. Perform regular security scans and patch management
8. Respond to server outages and incidents in a timely manner
9. Troubleshoot server issues and provide resolution
10. Assist with the development and implementation of server-related policies and procedures
11. Train and mentor junior staff members on server administration
12. Stay up-to-date on latest industry trends and best practices
Skills and qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years professional experience in systems engineering or a related role
2. Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory
3. Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
4. Experience with storage area networks (SAN)
5. Experience with network attached storage (NAS) preferable having MCSE or other Microsoft server certification preferable having CCNA or other Cisco networking certification
6. Experience with Linux/Unix server administration
7. Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
