Job description
- Prepare, review, and file tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Research and interpret tax legislation, regulations, and rulings to provide accurate guidance.
- Manage and review the work of junior tax staff, providing coaching and technical support.
- Lead or assist with tax audits, liaising with tax authorities and defending tax positions.
- Stay updated on changes in tax law and communicate implications to clients and internal teams.
- Support clients in transfer pricing, VAT/GST, and international tax compliance when applicable.
- Prepare technical memos, reports, and documentation to support tax positions and advice.
- Collaborate with accounting, legal, and finance teams to ensure cohesive service delivery.
